This is the first time I have ever posted on a blog, it is something I have been meaning to do for a while now but have found the thought of doing it very daunting so please bear with me.
I first started painting the canvas with white Gesso
Then I covered the canvas with paper from Craftwork Cards Butterfly Parade.
I then put rainbow sparkle embossing powder around the edges .
In the bottom left hand corner I put some lace coloured with Distress Ink Peacock Feathers, with a stripe of ribbon covering the top edge of the lace.
The ribbon used is the same colour as the ribbon at the top for the canvas to hang from.
The saying comes from the Tonic Die If Friends were Flowers cut in plain white card coloured with
Pinflair Gentle Blends Mediterranean Blue and another saying cut in Silver mirror board.
The silver saying was then put underneath the blue to highlight the saying before attached to the canvas.
The flowers are made from off cuts of the Craftwork Cards Butterfly Parade paper as well as
Centura Pearl cardstock and plain white cardstock coloured with the Pinflair Gentle Blends.
The Flowers were cut using Tonic and Tattered Lace dies and then used pearl embellishments in the centre of the flowers.
The holes were made in the top with a Crop-A-Dile and two eyelets were put in to reinforce the holes before the ribbon was threaded through.
I loved this card on FB - wondered how you did it, but hadn't guessed how much work it involved. Thank you for sharing this lovely card xx
