Craftwork Cards Fairyland Card 3

Craftwork Cards Fairyland Card

This Fairyland card I used a Tonic die from their monthly subscription box 1 to frame the topper. I thought the leaves went with the leaves silhouetted at the top of the topper.

I mounted the topper on black card to go with the whole silhouette detail on the topper. I cut four leaves out of green vellum with a gold hue to the vellum. I wove the stalks through the frame.

I used the sentiment from the kit that I thought went with the topper and arranged a black velvet ribbon tied into a bow at the top of the tag.

I then used a white gel pen to add little dots on the background as well as the topper and sentiment tag to look like sparkles from a distance.

Craftwork Cards Fairyland Card 2

Craftwork Cards Fairyland Card

When I first got this kit I wasn't sure on what kind of cards to do but the more I have looked at the kit loads of card designs have come to mind.

The topper has been mounted on a Spellbinders heart circle die cut. I liked the detail the hearts gave to the boarder.

The flowers I die cut from a die I got a few years ago and have no idea where it was from. I cut the flowers out of the coordinating papers and black cardstock. In the center of two of the flowers I added Craftwork Cards Card Candi and the third flower I put a rolled flower in the center. I then made a bow out of gardening twine to add to the card.

The sentiment I put on the third die from the Spellbinders die set to get the embossed hearts that I felt went with the words of the sentiment.

Craftwork Cards Fairy Card

Craftwork Cards Fairyland Card

At last after making my Christmas Cards for 2018 I have got on with using some of my kits and dies that are of the same theme.

I cut out the mason jar on my Brother ScanNCut using a file from http://shop.loriwhitlock.com/mason-jar-set/ I cut out the jar out of paper from the Fairyland kit, also cutting out the lid in Centura Pearl and Kraft Card.

Around the jar I wound some gardening twine and then made a handle out of the same twine. I made a flower out of off cuts of paper from the kit and black card as I felt it would set off the whole card better than using the coloured flowers in the kit. The centre flower is made from tiny rolled up spiral flower.

I cut out the fairy on the toadstools out of one of the toppers from the kit (I have since just bought the stamp sets that compliment this kit, they arrived this morning).I cut out the flower from a Tattered Lace die of a Fushia in black card and also the smaller mushroom was also a Tattered Lace die that came in the Fairy Door set.

I finished off the card with one of the sentiment tags from the kit and two more flowers using the paper from the kit and black card. the large flower has a piece of Card Candi in the centre.

Side Stepper Mockingbird Hill Christmas Card

Side Stepper Christmas Card 2017

This card was made using the Sheena Douglas Mockingbird Hill Perfect Partners Set to make this stepper card. The die set and stamps are from the 1 Mockingbird Lane set.

The background of this card I painted some plain white card with some Aqua Tints No.8 from the Landscape set with a tiny bit of mica from the Essential Set.

I then stamped snowflakes from the Winter Wonders set using white embossing powder randomly across the card.

To make the stepper card I just used the house as a guide for the size of the main part of the card.

The house was stamped on kraft card with copper embossing powder and then using watercolours I painted in some of the detail of the brick work. The roof and porch roof over the front door was then stamped on black card using copper embossing powder for the detail, the using silicone glue to add some depth on the roofs.

The lamp post was cut out of white satin card and then coloured in using grey alcohol markers. The snow was also cut out of satin card and the light out of pink glitter paper.

The tag was made out of craft card with a little clear glitter glue spread around the edges. The Christmas tree was again from the Winter Wonders set. I used watercolour pencils to colour in the tree and then used clear glitter glue down the middle and along some of the branches.

I then used Tonic Nuvo Crystal Drops Copper Penny as baubles on the tree. Then I tied a red and white checked ribbon in a knot and attached it on the whole of the tag.

Finally the sentiment was made using my Brother ScanNCut foiling set and Brother Type Converter for the script.

Gorjuss Girl Easel Card

To make the actual card I used my Brother Scan & Cut. I welded 2 scalloped ovals together to make the main card and then another scalloped oval in the pink for the front.  I then cut yet another scalloped oval in a different cardstock for the base.

The image is from one of the Gorjuss Girl A4 Ultimate Die Cut & Paper Pack.

It is a decoupage topper that I used Pinflair Glue Gel to put the image together.

I did think that this style card worked better with the topper as it looks as though she is sitting on a pole across the whole card.

I felt that putting flowers each side of the image helped give the impression that the pole was going from one side to the other.

I used Tonic Verdant Vines Die Set for the leaves behind the flowers.

The flowers were made using a Tattered Lace Mini Flowers Die with a clear crystal in the center of each flower.

Around the edges of the top layer and bottom of the card I have put some faux stitching to add a little interest and pull your eyes into the card.

As the stopper for the card to stand up I used a flower I drew and scanned into my Brother Scan & Cut and then cut some out in the same cardstock as the base of the card.

The Green filigree design underneath the flower is from a Heartfelt Creations Die on BazzelBing cardstock.

In the center of the flower is a Craftwork Cards Card Candi.

Tonic Shutter Card with Polkadoodle Digi Stamps

To make this card I used Tonic Indulgence Shutter Die - Liberty Set with black cardstock and White Centura Pearl Cardstock.

When standing up this is the card was designed to look like as I wanted the impression of the Bride and Groom coming out of where they got married and the Vicar hanging back to allow photos to be taken.

The panels along the top were made with the dies in the Liberty Set in Centura Pearl with a square silver lined crystal just above the center of the heart.

Down the front of the card I used heart pearls in the hearts from the die cut.

Down the back panel I used the waste created from making the shutter card to add a little interest.

Along the middle of the card I used the Tonic Verso Strip Die Set - Clematis Climber in white Centura Pearl.

The Bride and Groom are from Polkadoodles Work and Play - Love and Kisses cd along with the Vicar.

The Bride and Groom were coloured in with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Pens and Spectrum Noir Pencils.

I used Debbi Moore Designs Print Magic - Crystal on the Brides vale.

I used a Sakura Gelly Roll Pen to colour the Brides Tiara. I then used round and square silver lined crystals on the Tiara in place of the gem marks on the digi stamp.

I also used Spectrum Noir Alcohol Pens and Spectrum Noir Pencils to colour the Vicar and the used Glossy Accents on her glasses.

I used my Brother Scan & Cut to cut out the Digi Stamps and there mats behind the figures.

Vintage Rose Card and Box

I had a card to make for a special person who really appreciates handmade things and understands the work that is put into them. As anyone who understands knows you don't mind pulling out all the stops making something special for someone like that.

I used the Debbi Moore Designs Vintage Rose cd collection for this card and used the box disc to print out the papers for that too.

The tag on the box was from one of the topper sheets which I then used Distress Ink Peacock Feathers around the edges and Nuvo Crystal Drops Pearl Drops in the middle of the heart where there was a picture of a pearl.

I attached a ribbon from my stash above the tag to add some texture.

In the opposite corner of the lid of the box a two butterflies which I used Debbi Moore Designs Crystal Print Magic on the wings to add a little sparkle to the box.

I lined the bottom of the box with paper printed from the Vintage Rose cd.

The card is a 6" x 6" card. The backing paper was distress with Distress Ink Vintage Photo around the edges.

I used some cream crocheted lace down the left hand side with a boarder down the middle of the ribbon from the printed paper edged with Distress Ink Peacock Feathers.

I made the flowers using a Spellbinders Die on paper that I printed on both sides.

I used Distress Ink Peacock Feathers on the edges of the petals. The leaves are made using a Heartfelt Creations set of stamps and dies.

The pins were made by using some faceted crystals and pearls in my stash.

The topper was printed from the Debbi Moore Designs Vintage Rose cd.

I put a square of Centura Pearl paper cut from a Tonic die in the center of the topper before putting the sentiment which was put on with 3d foam pads to give the card a bit more dimension on the opposite side to the flowers.

The sentiment and topper are edged in Distress Ink Vintage Photo. A faux pearl was put in the center of both the hearts to cover the printed pearls that were on the topper.

This photo just show the finished card standing on the box.

This card was very well received so worth all the time it took to make.

Bebunni 1st Birthday Card.

So I've been away just lost track of time & have no idea where April has gone.

Must try harder.

There are twins in the family and it's their first birthday on the 14th April (where does time go?).

They are one boy and one girl so I wanted to do cards that were similar but different.

I chose this Bebunni design from my ,Crafters Companion, Bebunni Birthday cd.

I used backing paper from the disc to match the colours on the topper.

I rounded opposite corners of the backing paper with a corner punch to add a little interest to the background.

I put some faux stitching around the edges of the backing paper to add some interest to the background.

For the sentiment I used some silver peel offs saying Happy Birthday vertically.

I used an embellishment of a balloon from the Bebunni Birthday invitation kit from ,Crafters Companion,.

I used the same image for the little girls card but because the number 1 was in blue in the original image I traced the number 1 the copied it onto some of the pink backing paper. I then cut the number out adding some shading with a ,Spectrum Noir, pen and added the faux stitching around the edge.

I used the same silver peel off for the happy birthday in a different area on the card.

I rounded opposite corners of the backing paper and added some faux stitching around the edges of the background.

I used another balloon from the ,Crafters Companion, Bebunni invitation kit to finish the card off.

Gorjuss Girl Twisted Easel Card

I love these toppers and have decided I need to start using them rather than having sitting in a box.

I decided to do a 6" x 6" twisted easel card for a change.

In the corners of the card I used Tonic Envelope Die Set 1. on the stand up side I used the envelope die in the cardstock and then the bottom piece I used one of the edges in the set to add more interest.

In the center of the flowers on the die I used Tonic Nuvo Crystal Drops Ebony Black to go with the card behind the die cuts.

The topper I used was actually part of a note set so there is a space to write on so instead of that I used a Crafters Companion stamp which says ' Learn from yesterday, love for today, hope for tomorrow'

Across the middle of the card I used a EK Success boarder punch on Kraft Card. I then layered some lace I had in my stash and some ribbon from the Gorjuss Girl range.

The flowers I stamped and cut from a Heartfelt Creations set in Kraft Card and card I had in my stash. In the center of the flowers I used Craftwork Cards Card Candi.

I also used the same flower on the bottom for the stopper mounted on a scallop of the punched boarder. I then just used an acrylic gem in the center of the flower.
